For 15 years, Dragonfly Partners has helped mission-driven organizations navigate change, strengthen leadership, and build power that lasts. This is one more way to stay close to the people who make that work possible. We are grateful to start it with you.
We believe in holding ourselves with honest reflection and intentionality in the same way that we do for our client-partners. Organizations evolve. So do the people and structures that hold them. Over the past several months, we have done our own work of assessment and reorganization. Here is what that looks like.
After many years with Dragonfly, Aarati is stepping away to pursue new opportunities. Aarati helped shape who we are, bringing deep expertise in facilitation and organizational learning, and a steady presence to our clients and to each other. Much of the groundwork that still guides our work carries her fingerprints, from how we think about equity and power to how we show up for organizations in their hardest moments.
We are grateful and will miss her in the day-to-day work, but carry forward so much of what we built together. If you worked closely with Aarati and want to share your thanks or stay connected, reach out anytime.
Our Partners, Moving Forward Together
Dragonfly moves forward under three partners: Allison, Amadee, and Brianna. We each bring something different, in strategy, facilitation, and organizational learning. What we share is a commitment to the values that have always anchored this work: justice, equity, partnership, and collective power. Olivia keeps us moving, holding the logistics and communication that carry every engagement. This is not a break from what Dragonfly has been. It is the next step, led by people who helped build it from the inside.
MORE NEWS
Our Founders, Now Associates
Our founders, Barbary Cook, Noah T. Winer, Rebecca Subar, and Sara Joffe, are stepping into Associate roles. This is a deliberate move toward shared leadership and a wider bench. It keeps the experience and institutional knowledge that built Dragonfly close at hand, ready to support client work where it adds the most value.
What does not change is our commitment to you. The same people, the same care, the same rigor.
2026 is a turbulent year for nonprofits and mission-driven organizations. Funding cuts, increased costs, and growing instability across all sectors have left many managing real uncertainty around cash flow and staffing, even as need keeps rising. Oh, and we know this all sits ahead of the backdrop of rising authoritarianism.
The throughline is consistent: diversified revenue, flexible multiyear funding, and strong internal alignment are no longer nice to have. They are what keeps organizations standing.
This moment is surfacing harder questions too. When to hold firm to mission and when to adapt. How to support staff through burnout while sustaining the pace the work demands. How to keep boards and leadership aligned when the ground keeps moving.
If any of this sounds familiar, whether it is a strategic pivot, a leadership transition, or just needing space to think clearly with trusted partners, we would welcome the conversation.
Thank you for being part of this community. We are proud of where we have been and ready for where we are headed. Reach out anytime. We would love to hear from you.
With gratitude,
Dragonfly Partners
